For the second consecutive year, Prof. Mengqian LU’s groundbreaking research in technology transfer has been awarded a Gold Medal at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva (April 9–13, 2025). This year’s accolade recognizes their project “meteoNEX”—an AI-powered platform integrating the cutting-edge HKUST_H/L model to deliver seamless weather-to-climate forecasting solutions. By transforming subseasonal prediction accuracy, meteoNEX empowers industries with actionable insights for risk mitigation and data-driven decision-making across critical sectors.
